2006 Regional Championships will be conducted under the NZIHA By-laws, NZIHA
Official Rule Book and this Event Notice.

The 2006
Southern Regional Championships are open=
to
teams, entered by NZIHA Southern Region clubs, in the following grades: - U=
10,
U12, U14, U16, U20, Open and Women.

A club may
enter more than one team in any Grade.
·=
; =
Clubs must=
be
affiliated to NZIHA prior to any of their teams participating in the Region=
al
Championships
·=
; =
All players
must be currently registered with the NZIHA for the club they are playing f=
or
prior to taking part in any regional championship games. When players have
played in a regional championship within the current season and thereafter
transfer to another club they are ineligible to continue playing in the
regional championship unless NZIHA grants dispensation prior to 31st=

In regional
Championships players shall be entered as playing for one team except for w=
omen
who may play for both the woman’s grade and an age grade. However,
provided that they comply with age eligibility at all times, players are
permitted to play in other teams of a higher age grade or higher divisions
within an age grade of the same club a maximum of three times. When players
have played for other teams of any higher age grade or division on more than
three occasions they are ineligible to play down. Where a club has two team=
s in
the same division, players may play for only one team in the regional
championships

Open Grade=

Where a club has more than one team in the Open Grade of the Regional
Championships, players may play for only one of those teams for the duratio=
n of
the Regional Championships
If one team from a club qualifies for the National
Championships Open Grade, the club may select its Nationals team from all of
its eligible players
If two teams from a club qualify for the National
Championships Open Grade, players who have played in the Regional Champions=
hips
in one of the qualifying teams are only eligible to play in the same team as
they played in the Regional Championships. However, other eligible players =
in
the club may be included.

each tournament. If there are only two teams in the grade, at the Tournament
Organiser’s discretion, there will be a triple Round Robin in each to=
urnament.
All points, with the exception of any “unofficial” round, will
count towards Final Standings

Committee:

The Tourna=
ment
Disciplinary Committee will deal with all disciplinary matters.The members =
of
this committee shall be NZIHA members and shall be - The Tournament Directo=
r,
the Chief Referee ( or their nominees) and a senior member from a club not
involved in the disciplinary matter. The Tournament Disciplinary Committee =
is
empowered to discipline players, teams, team officials, and clubs for their conduct both o=
n and
off the the rink before and after a game. This disciplinary Committee may
impose disqualification, suspension, fine, and /or other measures as deemed
appropriate by the committee. Hearings will be conducted at a time notified=
to
the parties involved by the Tournament Directir and as far as is practible
during the tournament. Penalties imposed in this tournament will, if applic=
able,
carry over to further NZIHA sanctioned games.

A $50.00
monetary fine will be imposed for all players, coaches, officials and /or
associated teams and clubs found guilty by the disciplinary tribunal.

awarded 2 points, a draw 1 points, a loss 0 points, and a default, forfeit =

no show will result in a minus 2 point being deducted from the teams overall
points.

Ties will =

resolved in favor of the team than beat the other when the tied teams last =
met.
If that fails to resolve a tie, then the tie will be resolved in favor of t=
he
team with the best ratio of goals scored for and against over all games in =
the
event.

to have fielded an ineligible player shall default the game and the result
shall be recorded as 5 – nil or the actual score whichever is the most
advantageous to the non-offending team.

- After a 10 goal difference ( one team is 10 goals clea=

the other) has been established at any time during a game, the Tournament
Director and the Referee will inform both coaches that the game has finishe=
d.At
this point the final results will be noted on the score sheet. The following
options will then be presented to the coaches. Only one of these options ma=
y be
used.

the referee for the time remaining in the game ( if time allows) but no goa=
ls
will be recorded on the score sheet or posted on the score board and the
referee will officiate the game as per usual with any penalties being recor=
ded.
