In the event of a tie when determining the final placement of teams in competitions held in the Northern Region the following format will be used:

A) The winner of the games when the two tied teams met in the competition rounds shall be awarded

placement position. If both teams won an equal number of times then proceed to B).

B) If a tie still results from A) above then the team with the greatest goal differential shall be awarded placement position.

Goals For Goals Against Differential

Team A 15 10 + 5

Team B 23 8 + 15

Team B will be declared the winner with the greater differential.

C) If the teams are still tied after A) and B) above then the team with the highest goal average shall be awarded placement position.

This is achieved by goals for divided by goals against.

Goals For Goals Against Differential

Team A 15 10 + 5

Team B 23 18 + 5

Team A goal average is 15/10 = 1.5

Team B goal average is 23/18 = 1.27

Team A will be declared the winner with the higher goal average.

If the teams are still tied after A, B or C then the team with the least penalty minutes for the entire competition Round Robin shall be awarded placement position.
