The organising authority for the Southern 2002 Regional League is the
Southern Regional Committee.
Rules
·
The Southern 2002 Regional League will
be conducted under the N.Z.I.H.A. By-laws, N.Z.I.H.A. Game Rules and this Event
Notice.
Eligibility - Teams & Clubs
- The 2002 Southern Regional League
is open to teams, entered by N.Z.I.H.A. Southern Region clubs, in the U10,
U12, U14, U16, U18, Women, Senior, Premier Grades.
Eligibility - Players
- All players must be currently
registered with the NZIHA.
- Players shall be entered as
playing for one team only.
Dates
- Games will be scheduled to
commence 29 March 2002 and finish no later than 15 August 2002.
Venues
- Nelson, Christchurch, Blenheim
Format
- Depending on the number of teams
entered in each grade the format of competition is expected to be a double
round robin within each grade if time allows.
- The teams eligible for National
Championships shall be the top two placed clubs in each grade in the
Regional play offs
Officials
- All teams are to provide one
scorer/timekeeper for each game.
- All clubs to provide a minimum of
2 referees.
- All games are to be played as per
the draw but may be rescheduled by mutual agreement between the two teams,
the rink manager and the Regional Chairperson..
- Game scores are to be recorded in
an N.Z.I.H.A. Official Scoring Book provided by the Southern Regional
Committee
Entries, Rink Entry Fees & Bond
- Entries are to be on the attached
entry form. Closing date as stated on entry forms.
- No late entries will be accepted.
- Entry fee to
cover all tournament costs. Bond of $150.00 per club has to be paid along
with the first Regional League Entry Fee. (If a team enters a tournament and
they do not show, then their clubs bond is withdrawn and they will not be
able to attend another tournament until another $150.00 is paid).
- All referees and game officials
will be admitted free.
Draw
- A draw will be emailed to club
secretaries after the close of entries.
Results
- Game results and competition
progress results will be posted on the Event notice board as soon as
possible
Points
- A win will be awarded 2 points, a
draw 1 point, a loss 0 points and a default/forfeit/no show will result in
the defaulting team with 0 points and the opposing team 2 points and a
one/nil goal difference will be recorded to the opposing team.
- Ties will be resolved in favor of
the team that beat the other when the tied teams last met. If that fails
to resolve a tie, then the tie will be resolved in favor of the team with
the best ratio of goals scored for and against over all games in the
event.
