2001 Southern Regional League

 Organising Authority

The organising authority for the Southern 2001 Regional League is the Southern Regional Committee.

Rules

 The Southern 2001 Regional League will be conducted under the N.Z.I.H.A. By-laws, N.Z.I.H.A. Game Rules and this Event Notice.

Eligibility - Teams & Clubs

The 2001 Southern Regional League is open to teams, entered by N.Z.I.H.A. Southern Region clubs, in the U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Women, Senior, Premier Grades.

Eligibility - Players

All players must be currently registered with the NZIHA.

Players shall be entered as playing for one team only.

Dates

Games will be scheduled to commence April 20th 2001 and finish no later than July 2nd 2001

Venues

The Tahunanui rink, Nelson and Skate Zone Christchurch  may be used depending on the number of teams entered and rink availability.

Format

Depending on the number of teams entered in each grade the format of competition is expected to be a double round robin within each grade if time allows.

The teams eligible for National Championships shall be the top two placed clubs in each grade in the Regional play offs

Officials

· All teams are to provide one scorer/timekeeper for each game.

· All teams are to provide a referee for each game.

· All games are to be played as per the draw but may be rescheduled by mutual agreement between the two teams ,the rink manager and the Regional Chairperson..

· Game scores are to be recorded in an N.Z.I.H.A. Official Scoring Book provided by the Southern Regional Committee

Draw

· A draw will be emailed to club secretaries after the close of entries

Results

· Game results and competition progress results will be posted on the Event notice board as soon as possible

Points

· A win will be awarded 2 points, a draw 1 points, a loss 0 points, and a default, forfeit or no show will result in a minus 1 point being deducted from the teams overall points .

· Ties will be resolved in favor of the team than beat the other when the tied teams last met. If that fails to resolve a tie, then the tie will be resolved in favor of the team with the best ratio of goals scored for and against over all games in the event.
