The
organizing authority for the Central Regional Inline Hockey 2001
Regional League is the Central Regional Committee.
·
The Central Inline Hockey 2001 Regional
League will be conducted under the N.Z.I.H.A. By-laws, N.Z.I.H.A. Game Rules
and this Event Notice.
·
The 2001 Central
Regional League is open to teams, entered by N.Z.I.H.A. Central Region clubs, in
the U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Women, Senior, Premier Grades. ( possibly Masters Grade)
·
A club may enter more than one team in any
Grade.
·
All players must be currently registered with
the NZIHA.
·
Players shall be entered as playing for one team
only. Provided that they comply with age eligibility at all times, players are
permitted to play in other teams of a
higher age grade and of the same club to a maximum of three times.
Where a player has played for other teams on three occasions they shall remain
with the team with which they next play for the rest of the competition.

The exception to this rule is women players who
are eligible to play both women's grade and mixed grade teams . When playing
mixed grade they MUST play in their correct age grade team or a higher grade.
If the team(s) played for are successful in gaining a place in the Top Five
Competition the women player must then decide which team they will play for.
For Top Five and Nationals the women player can ONLY play for one team

Games will be scheduled to commence April
28, 2001 and finish no later than (September 2nd, 2001).
·
There will be no games scheduled on June 2/3 (Queens
Birthday Weekend) and over the middle weekend of the school holidays ( July7/8, 2001)
·
League Championships will
be held August 18-19, 2001 and September 1-2, 2001.
·
The draw will be divided
into two distinct sections. Section One will commence April 28 and finish June 17, Section Two will commence June 23
and finish August 5.
·
The Waihi Events Centre, Tauranga Action Centre,
Hamilton Devils Rink, New Plymouth Arena skating venues may be used depending on the number of teams
entered and rink availability.
·
The Central
League will include a playoff competition allowing the top 5 placed clubs
in each grade to play in a round robin playoff to determine the top two
teams eligible for National
Championships.
·
Depending on the number of teams entered in each
grade the format of competition is expected to be at least a double round robin within each grade if time allows.
·
The Central League will run two separate schedules.
·
Points will carry through all games/rounds.
·
Senior and Under 18 grades will play each other as one grade,
however for the purposes of determining winners in each of the senior and under
18 grades the points will only count when these two grades meet a team in the
same grade. ( senior/senior games, U18/U18 games)
·
All games, (including Senior vs U18) will be subject to a default
fee if a team does not play at the scheduled time unless an alternative time is
arranged with the consent of BOTH teams and the Central League Committee.
·
Female players are able to play both women's grade and in their
own age grade team throughout the league season, however this
"dispensation" does not apply to "Top Five" Championships,
Nationals or Inter Regional Championships. A female player must ONLY play for
one team, either women or their age grade team.
·
League Finals for all grades will be held over two weekends. The
top five championship will be split into a junior and senior competition, the
grades for each weekend will be determined prior to the completion of scheduled
games.
·
All teams should expect to play league games every two weeks,
where possible.
·
Stop Time will NOT be played during the League Schedule.
·
Stop Time will be played during the League “Top Five”
Championship.
·
Trophies for MVP, MVG, Top Points Scorer, MVD(defenceman). Trophy
awarded to top team in each grade . All trophies awarded based on points gained
prior to “Top Five” Competition.

All teams are to provide one scorer/timekeeper
for each game.
·
All teams are to provide a referee for each
game.
·
All games are to be played as per the draw but
may be rescheduled by mutual agreement between the two teams and the Regional
Committee
·
Game scores are to be recorded in an N.Z.I.H.A.
Official Scoring Book provided by the
host rink. These are available from the NZIHA.
·
Discipline Tribunal Chairperson is David Carrington. All
Disciplinary Reports are to be faxed to David by the Monday following the
incident. (Fax: 06 753-6798)
·
The draw (
Section One) will be published by April 24th by email to club secretaries. Adjustments will be finalized by
April 27th. All teams should
be prepared to play from May 5th at any venue.
Section Two will be published June 9th.
·
Scoresheets MUST be posted to the League Co-ordinator ( Box 7039,
New Plymouth) by the host rink co-ordinator on the Monday immediately following
the games played.
·
Referee names MUST be PRINTED on the scoresheet, this is the
responsibility of the game referees, scorekeeper and host rink co-ordinator.
This will enable accurate application of referee payments.
·
The scorekeeper is responsible for ensuring that referees complete
the scoresheets with players name and jersey numbers when awarding MVP and MVD
points. Both based on the 3-2-1 point system.
·
Game results and competition progress results
will be published on the NZIHA Homepage ( www.nziha.com) and emailed to club
secretaries on a regular basis.
·
A win will be awarded 2 points, a draw 1 points,
a loss 0 points, and a default, forfeit or no show will result in a minus 1
point being deducted from the teams overall points .
·
Ties will be resolved in favor of the team that
beat the other when the tied teams last met. If that fails to resolve a tie,
then the tie will be resolved in favor of the team with the best ratio of goals
scored for and against over all games in the event.
·
A prize giving will be held on “Top Five”
Championship weekends
·
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd
& 3rd placed teams in each grade and each division.
·
Two clubs will be eligible to enter the National
Championships in each grade.
