The organizing
authority for the Northern Region 2000 Regional League is the Northern Regional Committee.
·
The Northern Region 2000 Regional League will be conducted
under the N.Z.I.H.A. By-laws, N.Z.I.H.A. Game Rules and this Event Notice.
·
The 2000 Northern Regional League is open to teams, entered
by N.Z.I.H.A. Northern Region clubs, in the U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Women,
Senior, Premier Grades.
·
A club may enter more than one team in any Grade.
·
All players must be currently registered with the N.Z.I.H.A.
·
Players shall be entered as playing for one team only. Provided
that they comply with age eligibility at all times, players are permitted to
play in other teams of a higher age
grade and of the same club to a maximum of three times. Where a player
has played for other teams on three occasions they shall remain with the team
with which they next play for the rest of the competition.
·
Exceptions may be made in the case of women players (i.e. 14
years of age and over) who are permitted to play in both the Women’s grade and
their age grade on the one day if approved by their Club Management.
·
Exception to 50% rule – to be made on application to
Northern Region Committee and assessed on individual merits.
·
Games will be scheduled to commence 29-04-2000 and finish no
later than 10-09-2000.
·
There will be no games scheduled on Queens Birthday 3 – 5
June.
·
If possible games will not be scheduled on 8/9 July. Middle
week of School Holidays.
·
The Nutralife, Mt Wellington, Glenfield and Whangarei rinks
may be used depending on the number of teams entered and rink availability.
·
Depending on the number of teams entered in each grade the
format of competition is expected to be a double round robin within each grade
if time allows.
·
The Northern Region will include a
playoff competition allowing the top 5 placed clubs in each grade to play in a
round robin playoff to determine the top teams eligible for National
Championships.
·
Where the number of entries is such that it is impractical
to run a single competition the grade will split into divisions. Such divisions
will be ranked A, B, C etc. It should be noted that for the purposes of
qualification for entry into the National Championships only the A Division
results will be used.
·
Home teams are to provide one scorer/timekeeper for each
game, plus each team to provide one goal judge for Senior & Premiers.
·
All teams should provide a referee for each game.
·
All games are to be played as per the draw but may be
rescheduled by mutual agreement between the two teams, the rink manager and the
Regional Chairperson..
·
Game scores are to be recorded in an N.Z.I.H.A. Official
Scoring Book provided by the Northern Regional Committee and issued to the
Rinks for use. Each Sunday a delegate will forward white copies to Ivan. Yellow
for Manager of Away Team.
·
Entries are to be on the attached entry form.
·
The closing date for entries is 17th March 2000,
and forward to Ivan Wood by post or email as detailed below.
·
No late entries will be accepted.
·
The entry fee is $55-00 (non-refundable) and will be
subsequently invoiced by the Region. Senior and Premier Teams may be required
to pay a Referee Levy.
·
A refundable bond of $150 is required from each Club to
cover rink fees in the event of a no show. This will be invoiced subsequently.
·
All fees and bonds are payable on or before 28th
April 2000.
·
Rink fees are $4.00 per game per player. $2.00 per
spectator.
·
All referees and game officials will be admitted free.
·
A draw will be published 14th April (* posted to Club
Secretaries) after the close of entries, and finalized not later than 20th
April 2000.
·
Game results and competition progress results will be
published on Internet only as soon as possible after they become available.
Advice of address will be advised.
·
A win will be awarded 2 points, a draw 1 points, a loss 0
points, and a default, forfeit or no show will result in a minus 1 point being
deducted from the teams overall points.
·
Ties will be resolved in favor of the team than beat the
other when the tied teams last met. If that fails to resolve a tie, then the
tie will be resolved in favor of the team with the best ratio of goals scored
for and against over all games in the event.
·
A prize giving will be held at Mt Wellington 27th
August or 16th September.
·
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd
& 3rd placed teams in each grade and each division.
·
Where there are several divisions within a grade the results
of the A division will determine the eligibility of the Club to enter a team in
the National Championship. Two clubs
will be eligible to enter the National Championships in each grade.
